  1. Royal freaking Rumble peeps!

    January 30, 2012 by Stephanie

I’ve been a WWE (WWF back in the day, no thanks to the damn Pandas) fan for as long as I can remember. I remember the first WWE PPV we got live in New Zealand, which happened to be the 2005 Royal Rumble, which happened to air on my birthday (New Zealand time). The day before that, Sky showed two weeks worth of Raw and Smackdown in order to bring us up to date because we were then getting the shows within days of them airing in the States (Raw airs on Tuesday NZ time and airs in NZ on Friday night, NXT is online for those in the States but we get that on Sunday and Smackdown – which airs in the States on Saturday afternoon NZ time – immediately follows).

Today is Royal Rumble day. I have the entire week off work, partly because my birthday is tomorrow (NZ time) and I thought that I would take the entire week off. This way, I’ll be able to avoid injuring myself at work (last year, I managed to cut a big chunk of skin from a knuckle on my left index finger, narrowly avoiding cutting two admittedly small veins) and at the neighbours (two years ago, I sprained my ankle taking a shortcut home over the neighbour’s fence). I have the flat to myself until after 8pm as my flatmate is at work, otherwise I would’ve been kicking him out. I tend to scream and yahoo and hurl abuse at the tv when a PPV is on *blushes*

New layout at the blog. I will be working on the images that appear for each post too. After the Rumble. Priorities, you see ;)

  2. Auckland related post coming soon

    August 10, 2010 by Stephanie

There will be a post relating to my recent trip to Auckland coming very soon – just gotta sort my shit out before I add it, heh ;)

  3. Off to Auckland!

    August 4, 2010 by Stephanie

In around 11 hours or so, I will be on a Boeing 737 on its way to Auckland. This will be my second time to Auckland – and second time there for wrestling, surprise surprise.

I thought about doing my packing when I got home from work but that was as far as I got. I had another priority at the time – demoulding a pair of shoes that I’m taking up with me (probably wearing up!). At least they don’t smell like vinegar anymore, hehe. Knowing me, I’ll still be packing when I’m heading to the airport! I’m only away for two nights and I’ll be taking enough stuff with me to last a friggin week but that is what I normally do, haha.

Now, I can say that both the show as well as the Meet and Greet before the show are TOMORROW!!! And for once, I’ll be in the same city as the one and only Aunty Gok – Gok Wan! I love that man! This will also mark my first trip out of Christchurch since I returned in March! Hard to believe that I’ve nearly been here six months. Time has certainly flown, pardon the pun! ;)

  4. Off to Auckland again!

    April 2, 2010 by Stephanie

I’ll be heading off to Auckland again in August! For wrestling naturally. The WWE are having a show there on the 5th and I’ll be there. Everything is now all sorted so now I just have to wait for August to hurry up and arrive!

  5. WWE Smash-Up

    September 26, 2009 by Stephanie

A little something I started working on before I went to work this morning. I don’t know why the video parts of it seem to pause. I really could have a field day with this, creating and trying out different things, heh.

  6. Auckland

    July 6, 2009 by Stephanie

Wow. I’ve been back from Auckland for a couple of days now and I’m still reliving the whole experience. From the sky gradually getting darker the further north we ventured, to the cabin lights of the plane being switched off as we were coming in to land in Auckland, to the seemingly endless walking I did on Friday, to the show on Friday night, to getting to touch Triple H (and getting that on video), to flying over the snow-covered Southern Alps when on descent into Christchurch on the way home… I’m simply glad that I got to go.

I honestly thought that I wouldn’t actually like Auckland but to tell the truth, I did like it. There is a lot more to see and do there compared to my home town, especially when it comes to shopping. I’ll be waiting until the cows come home before I ever see a Gucci or Louis Vuitton store down here which basically means I’ll die waiting. Seeing Auckland from 186 metres and 220 metres above the ground was amazing (I went up the Sky Tower to do that). It’s a very spread out city. I think that I will definitely go back there at some point, simply to spend more time there and it really doesn’t deserve the reputation it has in New Zealand.

Pictures and such will follow soon. I’m off to look at my videos again, heh.

  7. Impulse buying

    May 15, 2009 by Stephanie

You know sometimes you go shopping without the intention on purchasing anything specific? I’ve done that a couple of times recently in the same shop!

On Monday, I was looking at the DVDs and saw Edge’s DVD, A Decade of Decadence, sitting in a very unusual place. I thought right then and there that I was going to get it. It’s a 3-DVD set but so far, I’ve only gotten through the first one!

A couple of weeks previously, I purchased all three Karate Kid movies for $12.99. These were movies that I loved watching when I was younger and I was really wanting to see them again. And have I watched them again or what?

I then decided to see whether there were fanlistings for any of the Karate Kid movies, saw that there was one for the first movie and joined. I then applied for the fanlisting for the second one once I’d noticed that there wasn’t a fanlisting for it and I was approved. It is now up and running here. I am planning on making a few skins for that fanlisting and I’m mentally working on them now!
