Thank you for your comment, Georgina I relayed my cousin’s comment to my mother last night and she said that ‘he’s fucked in the head,’ which he obviously is, because he’s not in Christchurch experiencing the aftershocks that I’m experiencing. It would be a completely different story if he was the one in my shoes.

He will definitely be getting the bitch slapping the next time I see him!

I really do think it is inconsiderate, but I am not sure how old he is. Regardless, I shouldn’t be thinking about that, because it’s not a nice thing for anyone to say, especially someone related to you who most likely knows you were affected. It doesn’t matter that there are bigger problems elsewhere when the earthquakes in Christchurch were still horrific and affected many people. Your cousin sounds immature, as if he’s implying that it was a competition for another country to try and have a bigger earthquake. I do hope he gets that bitch slapping later on!

Maternity clothing has always been a pain for me. I don’t really care about it that much in my “modern” neighborhoods because there are plenty of frump maternity clothes in the world right now. Haha. Plus the sim is only pregnant for like 3 days, so to me it’s not that big of a deal. However, I usually play with all Victorian-era European neighborhoods, 19th century Japanese neighborhoods, and Medieval neighborhoods. So…having the ugly maternity wear is not really fun in those instances.

There are plenty of hacks and such that allow you to dress your sims in different maternity clothes – and even replace the default ones – but there still isn’t a lot of variety for clothes to choose from in the first place. Kinda lame.

I played The Sims 3 for all of 3 months before I realized how inferior it was to The Sims 2, so I completely stopped playing it. I am one of the people who goes in and edits the heck out of everything via source/program code, and when The Sims 3 came out that was pretty hard to do. Still is for the most part. That was a huge turn off for me, so I just didn’t play it anymore. The Sims 2 is really the best game I have ever played because of the amount a user can edit, change, customize, etc with ease. It was meant to do that, as was The Sims (1).

That’s why I still love The Sims 2!

@ Ilona, I told my mother when she got home from work as she only does a half day on Fridays and she basically called me a tinarse! She thinks I have that kind of luck.

Well seeing the date that this was posted you most likely already made your decisions.

If you’re not happy with where you currently live and think you would be satisfied living elsewhere then maybe you should do that. You may have a greater chance of being happier but of course that is for you to determine.

If you think that moving will help you to feel more fulfilled and to help you actually survive a little easier, then go ahead and do it. It would be difficult, but if you believe it is the best thing for you, then I think it might be a good idea. Of course, you have to factor in how good you are at change, how you would have to adjust, etc.
