1. What did you do in 2011 that you’d never done before?
I sprained my neck. Went to a WWE show that wasn’t in New Zealand. Went to a Meat Loaf concert. Went to Western Springs. Went to a Foo Fighters concert. Flew on Air New Zealand’s “All Black” Airbus A320. Became an aunt.
2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don’t really make them now.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Two of my cousins didn’t but both their partners did! And my brother’s then-partner did as well.

One of my uncles

Australia
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
Less debt and more savings
7. What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
22 February, because of the 6.3 earthquake that resulted in 182 deaths. 30 June, because that was the day I left New Zealand for the first time in over 13 years. 29 October, because I went to my first and only Meat Loaf concert. 13 December, because I went to my first ever Foo Fighters concert.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Actually paying off one of my debts – the charge account at my old workplace.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Can’t really think of anything.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Four or five colds, my sprained neck, a couple of sprained fingers.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My passport?
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
I guess Christchurch’s mayor. After all the earthquakes that have struck the city in the past 16 months, I think that man deserves a DB.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
I really can’t think of anyone.
14. Where did most of your money go?
The usual – BILLS
15. What events did you get really, really, really excited about?
Leaving New Zealand for the first time in over 13 years, seeing two wrestling shows, and two concerts
16. What song will always remind you of 2011?
These Days – Foo Fighters. Partly because they filmed the concert and Dave Grohl announced that the concert footage would be in the video for that song.

i.happier or sadder? The same.
ii.thinner or fatter? I don’t feel fatter – although the scales at the doctors (when I went about my neck) put me at 59kgs (130 lbs) and I’ve never been over 55kgs (121 lbs) in my life.
iii.richer or poorer? A little richer.
18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Sleep.
19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Stress out.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent Christmas with my mum.
21. Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
Probably Mum. I don’t like speaking on the phone and will go out of my way to avoid answering it.

Nope

The Borgias, Family Guy, The Walking Dead – they’re the only ones I can think of at this time.

I don’t hate anyone – it’s anything.

Bella Mafia by Lynda LaPlante.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery or rediscovery?
Can’t think of anything.
28. What did you want and get?
A few days out of Christchurch five times.
29. What did you want and not get?
No more earthquakes.
30. What were your favorite films of this year?
I think I only saw one film last year at the movies – X-Men.

Drank beer and watched the Royal Rumble live. I was 32.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
No more earthquakes.

Not trendy, anyway. Casual would probably be the best way to describe it.

I honestly don’t know.

Most: Jack Black and Dave Grohl. Least: John Key (New Zealand’s Prime Minister).
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
None. I think the overwhelming majority of politicians bullshit too much for me to trust them.

My paternal grandmother. My cats Billie and Freddie.

I don’t know, lol.
